The speaker notes view also has a “prompter mode” where you can get a steady scroll. It would be pretty cool if a small speech recognizer was included that allowed for automatic scrolling based on what was said.

Another bit of feedback - in prompter mode, it would be cool if there was either some padding at the top or a switch that basically delayed start for half a page’s worth of lines. The problem is that it’s hard to match prompter speed to speaking speed when you start with the top of your notes going off screen immediately, making you rush. The workaround here is to add a bunch of empty lines ahead of it.

Adding to this post. Having a teleprompter feature or at least a side panel where you can notate critical things you need to communicate would be very helpful so you can create videos much faster.

Just saw that speaker notes are available! Thanks for that.

I would absolutely love to have this feature. That would be super helpful. It's definitely really helpful in loom. How much time is wasted editing videos because you can't remember what to say. That is why a teleprompter would be next level.

Yes please, it would be very useful to add a teleprompter when i'm recording myself.

I see "Show Speaker Notes" was added in 2.18.1 (super cool! 🎉), but could these refinements to Speaker Notes be made in an upcoming release?

    1. A shortcut key for pausing/resuming scrolling?

    2. A red line (AKA an eyeline helper) so the presenter knows where they'll read in relation to the scrolling Speaker Notes?

    3. Even faster speed options for scrolling? (Right now, scrolling is a bit slow for my taste.)

    Thank you! 🙏🏽

I tried using the built-in macOS Stickies app and putting partially translucent sticky notes on top of the window that I'm recording. In Stickies, I selected "Window > Float on top" to have them stay on top. For some reason, the stickies show up in the final recording though.

    +1 on this!

I would love to display notes on my screen (with an opacity setting) that are excluded from the screen recording itself.

Just like Around where the Around UI is excluded from a screen share.
