Happy that the possibility to import audio is going to be developed 👏. I would suggest having the option to also import recordings from my webcam with audio.
Use case: I first do a screen recording and then do a voice-over with a recording of myself via webcam.

I’m also looking forward to this feature. For the time being, here’s a workaround:
Record video in Screen Studio including microphone
Prepare the audio track in some audio application (REAPER in my case; the audio track could be a completely new recording but you could also reuse the microphone recording from Screen Studio)
Export the created audio track in m4a format. The resulting file must have the same length as the video. At least it shouldn’t be shorter. Otherwise you will hear weird artifacts. If your audio application doesn’t support m4a export, you can export as WAV and convert in Finder via right-mouse click on the WAV file and choosing “Encode Selected Audio Files”.
Replace the original microphone recording, located in “/Users/USER/Screen Studio Projects/PROJECT_NAME.screenstudio/recording/channel-3-microphone-0.m4a”
Close and reopen the Screen Studio project
Now you can use features such as generating transcript etc.

You saved my day. I’m using an ok microphone and can de-noise (adobe podcast etc) easily with external tools. But I can not import file again. I’m shooting a long form and creating multiple shorts.

Wait, this is not a feature yet? I’m livid! Why should we not be allowed to add our own voice over track? In the age of AI text to speech, it’s like the first thing I want to do—record my demo, do an AI voice over, add some lo fi AI hip hop beats as background music.. why can’t I do this?? Why am I a paying customer?
